I dipped my limbs, but taped off the Barnsdale logo so it wouldn't be covered on the inside of the limb. Outside is all Predator camo, Most of the inside is Predator, with the logo outlined in jagged edges. Kinda looked pretty cool to me that way. IMG_0245.JPG

nice did you do one of those at home kits or did you send it off to someone?

It started out as a kit, which sucked, so I ended up buying the materials and doing it myself. Really not that expensive at all to get into for an amateur/part-timer. $2-300 bucks for all the equipment I couldn't make myself (spray guns etc.) and materials enough to do a couple bows. Got a few other dipping projects I want to do over the winter when I slow down at work. Gonna make a spring pattern on my Firecat, dip some quivers, etc. I'll never make much if any money doing it, but it's something I like doing.

very nice. who manufactures the kit and where would you get supplies at? I think it would be a fun project to tinker with

Just got the replacement cams off Eric and the new Barnsdale limbs fitted, screwed a 'springy ' rest on, roughly centered the arrow, marked a dot on my string in lieu of a nock point, used bare fingers in place of a tab, had a couple of shots which impressed at 15 - 20 metres, and moved back to 30 metres. Put the first 4 shots in a 3'' circle--- man am I impressed!. No sights and fingers. This bow has had the most rudimentary of setups imaginable and could still group like that with a bow that I've never shot before. Bear in mind that my previous bow is a 2001 Cougar. This bow is so much faster and flatter its blown me away. The only downside is it seems noisy at the shot, sort of a loud 'swishing' sound .Any comments on noise levels with the shadowcats?

Wabbit, I originally used the kit from camodipkit.com but was not real happy with it at all. I ended up just buying the supplies from Ozarks Hydrographics. For just a little more than the cost of one of the cheap kits, you can get enough supplies to do an entire bow and accessories, and still have a little left over. The only extra cost is paint guns, etc. OHG also has a much higher quality of product as far as finish goes. They do also sell kits.

Bob, glad to hear you got everything up and firing. Never owned a Shadowcat, but most of the noise associated with Martins is from the cams not being timed right. I think once you get that taken care of, you'll have a nice quiet bow. Have fun shooting!

Timing seems right, fitted couple monkey tails, quietened it down quite a bit.Man I can't believe how accurate it is.Going to be doing heap of practice now to get used to it.
