    Default Buck down in Jersey

Finally able to put another buck down this year. I have been hunting hard since the end of September 4-5 days a week after work and the weekends and it has been very slow! Unfortunately bow season went out two weeks ago so I got this guy with the gun.

Good going. I imagine they are easier to see with snow on the ground, huh? And from what I understand you guys have quite a bit of snow. Not to fret, but I think there's more on the way this weekend.

Congrats! The hunters I know around here are not seeing allot of deer, so it's been tough to get that freezer stocked. Not to mention the mornings have been brutal cold with wind chills in the single digit to lower teens.

As far as seeing yes it makes it easier but the snow has a frozen crust so you can hear them from a long way off! Plus it is cold so they are eating so you just find a good food source and they will come!!

Congrats on the buck!!! The cold and snow together can sometimes make the hunting a bit easier here, but often times it's a lot more uncomfortable. I took a buck on our opening day of our 9 day deer gun hunt in Wisconsin, 30mph winds, temps getting up to 20, making the wind chills below zero. We had a little snow on the ground and it was crunchy. I'll take 70 degrees and still winds any day ... lol.

Congrats LB, sometimes you need the bangstick to put the backstraps one the grill. Hey, we can't always be perfect, lol!
