SC rez Coues Archery (Primitive bow)

Well Gents it was an awesome 2013 year. Two animals harvested with my own handcrafted tackle.
Second kill was a small forkie coues but I had intended to kill his bigger buddy. I stalked to within 40yds of the bigger 3X3 buck but he had moved and was now beyond my range. So while I was determining my next course of action I heard movement to my left. The smaller buck stepped out from manzanita and catclaw thicket at 32yds straight on. I figured he was looking for his buddy but instead he found my arrow! I aimed for his throat at 32yds figuring the arrow trajectory should be perfect into the chest. I let loose, he back flipped and bolted 6 steps before he died.
My 48# Sinew backed Mulberry bow with cedar arrow tipped with a self sharpened BH to a scary as hell edge...... did the job.
26" of arrow penetration and through the heart!!!!!

Nice! Always very rewarding to make a harvest with tackle that you've built!!
