    Default NAP Apache rest?

Do any of you guys use this rest or know if it works with the Onza's bridged riser? I am looking at getting one for my Onza XT.

I measured and it looked like it would fit on my Aien XT. I have one on my Cougar FC and it works great. I did how ever go with the Truglo Down Draft on my Alien XT. Works the same as a NAP Apache but wieghs a little less.

I saw the Down Draft and was curious how it worked but I have not heard any input on those! I will look into them.

If you want the Apache, I think you need to go with the Carbon one. Otherwise you might need to modify the cage on the original to fit with the bridge. I know that was a problem when they brought the Onza back that had the medallion near the cable rod. The newer ones might not have a problem.

That is what I was wondering about. I read some reviews on the down draft and all have been good. I might go that route plus I like the looks of it a little better.

I had the TT Full Contaiment drop aways on my Onzas. Same size as the Smackdowns. The riser side containment arm had to be trimmed down to fit properly. Basically, just cut the curved portion off the arm and it fit. It could be used without cutting it off, but the containment arm rubbed against the bow and made some noise. If leaving the arm on, you had to set the arrow to run a little low through the Berger holes as well. Bottom of arrow just below the bottom of the Berger holes. I tried it, and the bow still tuned and shot fine. Just didn't like the extra bit of noise. Now I have 2 rests with the arms cut down, and nothing to put them on. lol

Yes the Downdraft has a clamp for the cable...But if you wax your cables and strings then the clamp will slip. I just split the cable and tied the cord in with serving. It stays put that way. The Downdraft works just as well as the NAP Apache. BOTH are fine products.

My cougar has an APACHE and the XT has the DownDraft. The XT picture is before I tied the cord into the cable.

I had the original Apache on my Onza when I first got it. I had to cut the "cage" on the riser side to fit in the bridge, but it worked. I think the newer ones are smaller and may fit better. I've had issues with several rests and the riser since day one, even my Trophy Ridge Revolution (which I love BTW) had to be filed down just a touch with a round file to center tune; I have just a slight "channel" whittled away where it would otherwise contact the bridge...
