I found a great looking Martin X-100 on eBay that has a 20 lb pull that should be fine for my 9 year-old grandson when he comes to visit. It arrived today, but the problem is...it's so beautiful and pristine, I don't want anyone to touch it. Although it is my understanding that this bow was made in the mid-1990s, it looks like it has never been used. The lower riser wood has "by Howatt" hand written in script, and I wonder if all these X-100s had this? All I need is a 60 AMO string (it has a plastic Hoyt rest on it, which is what I use on my 30# Shakespeare X-25 Trident). I'm happy with the price of $118./free shipping (from Goodwill in Oregon, would you believe). Since my shooting "range" is snow covered, with another 12" expected in 24 hours, I'll have to wait to try it out. Any info on this bow would be appreciated.
