Default 80lb limbs on Alien X.

Hello all. Does anyone here in the know, think the 3 piece riser will not handle 80lb limbs on a 09 Alien X. I have a chance to get some 80lb Barnsdales for my Alien, and I love shooting higher poundage bows. Just concerned if there's a limit the epoxied riser can handle.

Very few of the Pinned and epoxied 3 piece risers every shifted or moved, those that did, shifted a few mm out of original position. Don't see any reason why the riser wouldn't handle 80# limbs, not sure if I can I can say the same for your shoulder! Good Luck in your quest.

I would be more concerned with the Hybrix 2.0 cams holding up to that DW than the riser. If it were me, I would swap the Hybrix for the Nitro 2.0 cams as the Nitro
cams have more metal in the webs and tracks, a set of hybrix 3.0 cams from a Seeker would work also. Not a big fan of high DW's and skeletonized cams.

For what it's worth, I had a Alien X with 75lb Barnsdales that I shot thousands of times and never a problem. archerx7 even built strings for and tuned that one. This weekend I'm picking up two more Alien X's with Barnsdales. One maxes at 76, the other at 74.
