HawgEnvy hit on something, draw stops. I'm more and more of the notion that I want a bow without adjustable limb draw stops. Maybe a hold over from Hoyt returning. Yeah, adjust mods to the draw length you want and go shoot.

There has been and still is nothing, NADA, that has ever come close to even appealing to me from that other "M" company. Maybe I'm one of those guys who like classic, flowing lines to the riser like Ross or Elite or Strothers. Something with graceful flowing lines, and a waffle isn't one of them. And as far as shootability I've never had a bow I couldn't shoot. My last 26 bows have been chosen sight unseen and unshot yet I've shot almost all of them as well as any other.

Had Martin for many years, and own 4 right now. Shot other brands, some good some not. Always counted on reliability with a bow not so much on looks.

I forgot that I bought a Mathew's last year. But it was a Craze for my 12 year old Grandson. So that does not count. It actually is a pretty nice bow for a starter bow that he can hunt with for a while.

Buddy of mine has/had (not sure) a z7 he won from a raffle from a series of 3D shoots. I'll give them credit, they are sweet shooters, but the aesthetics of the bows just aren't my style. That I'm not one to get caught up into hype and over spend on my tools. To each his own, they just aren't for me.

Mathews has been smart with its advertising and merchandising, that's for sure. I haven't really liked any of their "waffle" risers though. It seems to me that the last decent looking bows they made were the Drenalin series and their composites. They do have nice cams, I'll give them that but its just hard to get over their current aesthetics... and their price points!

I owned an MQ32 way back when they first came out. Way before the waffle design. I shot the bow extremely well, but I have to say looking back, it wasn't much of a pleasure to shoot. After that bow, I started shooting Martin, and haven't touched one of the other "M" bows since. The first Martin I got was a Moab, and it outshot the MQ32 six ways to Sunday. And at half the cost. Never saw a reason to go back after that.
