Thread: how many twist will it take?

1. how many twist will it take?

So my dealer replaced my limbs and cable last year on my70# fc 400, he asked me what i pull and told him#60. so he has it maxed at #60. I now have some slightly heavier arrows and want to go to #64-65ish. approx how many twist will it take to increase the poundage 4 or 5 lbs. thanks i do not have a scale.
Maybe i can use my large dial game scale

2. 15lbs @ 5 full turns. So if you do one complete turn its 3lbs and yes you can use your game scale

5. I'm sorry i didn't clarify. the limbs are already maxed. i'm going to have to twist my cables to increase weight. i think my ata is almost 3/4 min long. i was wondering if there was any rules that converted twist into increased weight or decreased ata. i just want a started point so i dont have press my bow twenty times to get it close, since i use a bowmaster press and its a pain to use several times

6. take your length of your cable(s) and divide it by 1.50 that will give you the amount of twists that are suppose to be in the cables. Do the same for your string. Untwist your cables till there is no twists. Then twist them for the number of twists that is suppose to be in them. This will bring you back to 70lbs or so. Then back the limb bolts out 2 full turns. Or measure the cables as they are and twist them to a little shorter then the correct length on limb sticker. Then assemble and back the limb bolts out 2 full turns.

7. first I would like to see how many twist are in the string for him to get the bow lowered ten pounds and then he must have taked all the twist out of the cables

8. and make should that you did get 70 lb limbs

9. True Ten Ring, boo you should check and verify that they are in fact 70lb limbs

Hutch

10. so my cables are 37" which divided by 1.5 =26 2/3 twist and my string is 55.25 divided by 1.5 = 36.83 twist does this sound ballpark? this probably has to be done without any serving?
