Default crackle poppin noise on let down?

Ok so Ive been shootin my cougar with the limb bolts backed out 3 turns from max and when I let down right at the end of the let down I hear a crackle poppin noise like somethn is bindn up on every let down so I maxed my limb bolts out and turned a half a turn out from max and the noise is gone drew and let down 15 or so times no noise backed out 3 turns and the noise is there again any Ideas of why it be makin noise when limb bolts out 3 turns dont make sense to me Im bewildered

Does it make that noise at two turns out? Have you tried 4 turns? When was the last time that you had that limb off the riser, could there be something under the limb? My first thought is that ( I hate saying this ) the limb may be failing at or near the limb bolt hole , may be a sliver catching on the exposed threads of the limb bolt.

I think the noise is coming from the roto cup pocket I think its time for a tear down and lube job what kinda grease do u guys like to use.

White lithium grease. I was just going to suggest a tear down and lube job. The noise might be the limb bezels (big washers) or the limb bolts in the bezels themselves. While you're at it might as well do the tiny little rubber/plastic buttons between the roto cup and limbs.
