    Default Got my new bow

Chris over at the traditional part of martin Archery set me up with a sweet 64 inch Savannah longbow not a 62 inch Savannah .Chris said its been setting for 4 years and was never finished he explained that its a 64 inch that was made on old press they no longer have and will never make another 64 inch Savannah again So if wanted it they would finish it out and and add my name on it to top it off .Now that's far out !.The limbs are a 2 inches longer and a little more narrower but she's sweet shoots fast and hits hard so maybe I got a one of a kind bow here .Thanks Chris for making a bad day better I could have not asked for a better birthday present. Chris and Martin Archery back to doing what they do best building great bows and making customers for life! . .

Glad that you finally got that mis-tillered bow replaced, also nice of Martin to add the Custom Made For label for you. Looks great, although I'm a recurve kind of guy , beautifull wood laminates in the riser. Hope this bow fits you needs. With Martin finishing the bow it's now a crossover from Gail's company to the new Martin, truely one of a kind !

How do you people run into these deals. I'm jealous. 2" longer means less stacking and smoother draw. Good for you.

Yes its truly one of a kind and I'll cherish it for years to come .And yes that extra two inches really does make a difference. I can shoot it all day just like my 1987 The Stick longbow .That's why I love martin and howatt bows so much.Don't get me wrong I love recurves too ! Its not a martin or a howatt but for being a greatree take down recurve it's a shooter too I use it on long backpack trips. Here's a pic of my takedown . And my wife rabbit hunting with her 1969 Indian archery recurve and I'm at the range shooting my The Stick longbow with the grandkids. and here I'm out at my turkey setup with my new 64 inch Savannah.

Those Greatree bows keep turning my head, really like the Mackinley, and the Deerslayer Classic (except for its short 60" length ) but the only thing holding me back is for a little more $, I can pick up a classic Damon Howatt.
