Never cared for acetone. Watched these guy fletching when Carbon Express used to have full length camo. It was about like paint stripper. Lord did it wrinkle the camo and a rag wiped it clear off.

I've been use denatured alcohol ever since. Not that dang rubbing alcohol.

Well it is turpentine you know, that is a paint thinner, I collect art pottery and the best way to clean the pottery was with acetone but if the piece had been repaired you would find out really quick. It would wipe the paint right off, so I carried it with me and when I was purchasing a piece I would always ask if I could wipe it down to make sure there were no repairs, if they said no then I know not to buy it.

I use a product that over here is called Spirit Wipe.
It is used in the auto industy to wipe down car paint work prior to spraying.
It is not that expensive and a gallon lasts for ever, I am still using the same can I bought years ago.

I use brake cleaner for a lot at work,so I thought I would try it on arrows, it seem like I get more of the black carbon dust off the arrows with the brake cleaner

Acetone for me. Have 3x teenage girls and by it buy the gallon for finger nail polish remover. Better by the gallon than the 4buck remover from wallymart.

All they use at work is acetone to clean carbon fiber, I am talking the MQ9-Reapers and Predator UAV planes.
