Thanks for the replies. My bow max is 88# I actually only pull 78. I have used the leaches and they cut in half. I have used monkey tails and they get cut off the string. I just put cat whiskers on and we will see how that works. Also just got some x factor out doors string factors that come with a life time warranty. I will let you guys know what happens.

I want to try plastic worms, I bet they looked funny hanging in a string.

I'll make a couple & post a pic. I saltwater fish, so I always have some fat grubs -razor blade to cut down to size & you have put 5.00 in & have enough rubber for 20 silencers vs 10+ dollars they charge for 2-4

One thing I forgot to mention about string silencers is anytime you put an object in between the strands of a string you are disrupting the tension of the strands. If you make either side of the string unequal in tension your arrow will shoot left or right. Also if the resistance of the string going forward is hindered in anyway it will make the string oscillate and cause problems. Any type of string silencer that is flat and can fly like a wing will become resistance for the natural path of the string. Thus why I prefer cat whiskers they go on the outside of the string and are round.

Hutch, we had those puff ball thingies when I was about to pull 80# nearly 20 years ago. Even @ 80# my string wasn't traveling @ nearly the rate of speed a 80+# bow made during the last 10 year's. So, at 88#, I wonder if the bowjax that go around the string or the cat tails that wrap around are the only alternatives to cat whiskers? At that draw weight I am surprised the silencers aren't sliced in half or otherwise ruined on nearly every shot.

True I am surprised they are not split in 2 as well. But I would go with something like monkey tails or a silencer that is on the outside of the string.
