Default Northern NY Doe with My Martin Recurve

Always liked this week (muzzleloader) for deer movement, and after Sunday's wind and a real cold start forecast, I made sure I was in a tree yesterday. First morning that I climbed a tree so far this year, mostly been going evenings and been still hunting a few mornings here and there. She came down from behind me with two good sized fawns, caught me off guard. I managed to stand grab the bow and turn and get ready to draw just as she stopped at 15 yds, I was 25' up and had a clear shot through all the branches. Hit right where I aimed and she ran off and went right down in less than 75 yds. Same tree I took my first recurve deer from last Oct. Used my 45# Martin Mamba, with CX Maxima Hunters, 50 grain inserts and 150 grain Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts.

Lots of branches, luckily I had a decent opening.

    Easy, short blood trail.
