    Default Martin Lightning Info

Evening all, I am looking at a Martin Lightning. Can anyone offer any info on them? I tried looking it up but can't find anything. I need to know how hard or easy the draw length adjustment will be. It is left handed and I have a 25-26" draw. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested in knowing, too. I've been shooting compounds for 40 years and never heard of a Martin Lightning.

I hope you do know that pictures would be a lot of help.

Older bow, maybe a Jennings? I'll have to look, but pretty sure I still have one down at archery shop. Double axle holes for draw lengths.

Darton also had a Lightning back in the early 90's. It was a speed burner. One of the first to burn the 300 fps mark.

Isn't there a STICKY some place here explaining how to post pics? It's advisable to resize them before posting.

Yeah, there's a few around, including one in the Tech section.

I'd guess that the Darton is still a good bow, even by today's standards. I could never handle the hard hatchet cams so I shot a Viper with energy wheels. Heck I got 281 fps out of that darn thing. 1993, back when overdraws were popular so we could shoot a shorter, lighter spine arrow to boost the speed. I believe I was shooting 22.5" XX75 2013's. I really liked that bow. Only had it 2 months and got an offer to shoot for XI. I said yes and the rest is history.
