Trying to get age on Bobcat bow

I have recently aquired a Martin Bobcat, the bow is in great shape, no nick or dings, and all the cables and string looks new. However the riser and limbs are wood, the bow number on it is 61947. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can get the year the bow was made, a friend told me somewhere in the 80's????

Early 80s around 81 to 83

I'm not familar with Martin bows from that era, but if your bow follows true to form the first number in the serial number refers to the year of manufacture. And then knowing a lot of bows from way back when I'd say this thing could be from as early as 1976, a couple years after I started shooting compounds.

It could be from the 80's, but by then most bows were being made with cast aluminum or magnesium risers.

83 was the first year they show on the spec sheet that you could get the bobcat with a metal handle they also offered in wood handle that year also in any event its old can you post a pic?

Worked for a shop when I was a kid saved all of the spec sheets I can take a pic of the spec sheet an post it if you like.If you work for a shop or know someone who does Im sure you can get a copy of them as far back as martin has saved them
