Default Scepter II limb crack help

A friend of mine found cracks at the limb pocket on his Scepter II (Fury cams, #50). Is it just a superficial defect or a structural crack that poses real threat? Is it repairable?

I'm shooting the same bow with higher poundage, this really make me feel concerned. A few questions to ask:
What's the common pattern of structural crack on a limb, that is, the way it differ from a paint/dip crack?
What can I do to prevent this kind of inccident?

    Thanx

I wont say its a common problem but I have seen the XRG limbs develop a small crack in the limb fork as in your picture an yes it will get worst.

Sometimes that happens as a result of the cam and spacer stack being too tight in the limb fork and being crammed in there instead of being adjusted for a precise fit. It tries to spread the fork, thus causing the crack.
