Truth be told, if you have that money for the cheetah package, go get a MOAB. You get a specs-wise similar bow, and a pro-series bow. The Pro-Series will have more support from good shops, and more proshops will be familiar with it. If you don't want the MOAB, get the 2ndhand bow. The price is worth it, more so than the cheetah.

isnt the cheetah and the moab the same except for the cable system and the vibra check? i dont have the money for the moab but i was thinking i could add the cable and vibra check would that be similar added to the cheetah i get free shipping so my total for it plus ccs,VC wouldnt cost to much. i know i prolly not making sense but just getting your opinions cause i dont know martin but LOVE how they shoot compared to my old brand hoyt

The MOAB is a little longer at 33" A2A vs. 30" Also, a little lighter. Tuning issues will be lessened with the longer A2A. Also, like I said, the ProSeries bows are better known among proshops.

The MOAB's Gold-Series Counterpart would be the Bengal.

The guys are giving some deceent advice, but you have to suit your own pocketbook. OK, so you can't afford a Moab. No big deal. In your shoes I would probably go with the Monster Buck for a lot less money. However, the Cheetah would also be OK. As I said, suit yourself. I think the Monster Buck is a twin to the Cheetah.

One thing though. You cannot fit a CCS to any 2008 bow so forget it. The risers are machined differently. It's not that big a deal anyway. I've got a FireCat with just a cable rod/slide and a Moab with the CCS. The FireCat is more quiet. The CCS is not such an improvement as people might think.

As for the VIbra Check, do you mean the STS? This can always be added later if the bow is drilled for one. Try shooting the bow without it for a while.

Id get the 08 MB bow as their isnt enough difference in both models. If you ever turkey hunt or stand hunt deer or spot and stock you'll start to really love that MB bow,it's like it was made for those situations exclusivley.
Now as far as a dealer knowing a pro series better that a gold series,ya right scooby dooo..............................
