Thread: 80 lb limbs on firecat

Default 80 lb limbs on firecat

My 70lb limbs cracked on my firecat. Will 80lb limbs help me any kind of way if installed and set on 70lbs? Would it be less stress on the bow? Would it allow me to maybe shoot a lighter arrow than normal?

About the arrow- it must be at least 5 grains per pound (70lbs DW-350 grain arrow or more)-everything else may cause troubles.I don't think you need 80lbs limbs if you shoot 70.If you are the first owner of the bow,Martin will replace the limbs.

You will get better performance if you shot at the top end of the limb. If you want to shoot 70 then I'd go with the 70 limbs. The bow will preform much better, will be quieter, be a bit faster, and will have less shock.
