Ain't that the truth. I'm 62 and been shooting compounds for over 35 years. The longest I ever kept one and shot it was about 5 years, but shooting upwards of 20,000 shots a year and never wore one out.
Riser, limbs, and cams last forever. It's even hard to wear out bearings these days. Now way back when it was possible to wear out a set of cam bushings, but that before the advent of roller bearings. About the only thing that's going to wear out these days is the rigging (string & cable). Even so, I've pushed the limit on them and had them on a bow for as long as 6 years.
