Default Martin string & cable length not factory spec?

I'm getting ready to have new strings and cables built for my 05 Slayer with B cams. The factory charts say the string is 52-3/4" and the cables are 39-1/4". I pulled the old ones off the bow and they measure 53-1/4" and 38-3/4" respectively. Now I know that at one time this bow has been to a "super tuner" so I was wondering if making the string longer and cables shorter upped the performance a bit? The bow shot really well and I liked the draw with the old ones but I'm not sure if I should just get them at factory spec or go with what was on there?

Longer string and shorter cables certainly did change the bow. It increased the draw length and A2A, while at the same time lowered the brace height and increased the poundage range. So yeah, it changed the performance.

I don't know that it hurt anything and if you like the way the bow shoots I would just order strings to the measurements of your old ones. Especially if the bow fit you well as is.
