How many turns can you safely back limbs off?
How many turns can you safely back limbs off?
Five turns
That is right! five turns, and you add or take off about 3# Lbs with each full turn.
Thanks for your help.
You do not want to shoot the bow backed of 5 turns as the limb is very far away from the limb cup then.. :P

While 5 turns is generally accepted as the maximum I have actually taken many more off to shoot lighter weight for a short time. I can't remember how many turns, but I had a 2007 Pantera with 55# limbs that I backed off to 27# and shot for a short while.
