    How many turns can you safely back limbs off?

    That is right! five turns,and you add or take off about 3# Lbs with each full turn.

    You do not want to shoot the bow backed of 5 turns as the limb is very far away from the limb cup then.. :P

    While 5 turns is generally accepted as the maximum I have actually taken many more off to shoot lighter weight for a short time. I can't remember how many turns, but I had a 2007 Pantera with 55# limbs that I backed off to 27# and shot for a short while.
