MOAB Poundage not right and flat string

you said you twisted the string?

twist the buss cable. not the string. every 6 twist in the string shortens the DL and does not change poundage.

put 5 twist in the buss cable and take the twist that you put in the string back out.

Michael is right. Twisting the string reduces the draw length while reducing the weight. But being as the string is so long it takes quite a few twists to see much change on draw weight. The cable, being about half the length of the string reacts to changes more quickly.

Know what I'd do? I'd take about 6 twists out of the string and add 6 to the cable and see how this works.

I guess I didn't tell you, but before you even started you should have drawn a pencil mark on the side of the cam where it passes through the limb fork. This would have given you a reference for draw length.

Ok. Taken a few twists out of the actual string, put a few twist in the small cable to the solo cam.
It appears i have gained about 2 lbs.....
I'll repeat the following step later and see if i gain another couple of lbs.
The A2A is just a bit over 32 and a quarter, Brace height a little over 7".
Might be on the right track now...thanks again all, i'll keep you posted.
Oh..BFisher, i did mark it with a white marker and have been seeing the mark change location. I it still a shy short of where i started. But after next adjustment should be back on that mark again. :-)

I have noticed that both limbs have MARTIN written on it. Yet photos i have seen of the 09 MOABs Have MOAB on one of the limbs...
I sent an email off to Martin asking for clarification.
Failing that, i will have to wait up one night to ring them (15+ hour time dif)

Martin got back to me, we are arranging to get another set of limbs sent out as they should be marked with a 3 not a 2. :-)

Can i say I told you so, like i said I've had a lot of Martin bows with 60# limbs and all of them with short A2A had 3M limbs.
