Default Draw Length String Loop Relation

If I am a 28" Draw, and I install a loop, and shoot with my TRU BALL release,,do I need to adjust the drawlength down to 27 1/2"?

You can stay with the same DL but need to move your anchor back a bit.

Actually I like to put it this way. People do not have a draw length. Bows do. If the bow is set to a draw length that makes you comfortable and consistent with how you anchor then adding a string loop makes you stretch out more, many times beyond your comfort level.

There are several ways to compensate for this to maintain the same anchor position. Keep the loop as short as possible. You can shorten the draw length of the bow. You can shorten the release or change to one with a shorter head. You can do a little of both.

In either case the idea is to keep your anchor position approxiamtely the same, keeping the arms and shoulder in alignment with the bow.
