The average north american black bear male is 250, female is 190, that is pretty average (the feeder makes it look smaller too, bottom of the feeder is about 6 ft off the ground), They are definatly not as impressive as a grizzly but still a pretty big surprise to see. I am whitetail hunting in the area, there are bear but pretty rare to see them where I am at. Plus I am in Arkansas so it doesnt get that cold so our black bears are smaller than other places that have them. Ill let you know what he weighs is he makes the mistake of getting in front of the cheetah any time this year.

Any recommendations on a good trail cam without a flash that has a reasonable price tag? 300-.

I use Moultrie cameras but I use flash, the one I use is only about 100 and does really well, if you want to go no flash you will have to get infared which is more expensive but you can get a nice one for under 300. I cant make any recommendations as I havent used any of them though.
