All,
I am new to this forum and would appreciate some feedback. I purchased a used Martin Jaguar Compound Bow / 70# draw weight, 29" Draw Length, has offset Dyno Cam on bottom and round cam on top. I have been out of the sport for awhile so I need to get my wheels back under me. The guy I purchased the bow from never shot it. It sat in the case for awhile? Not sure what year it is, but it is the shorter lighter framed bow. I started shooting it and got it tuned in with relative ease. Loved the accuracy and speed. Shooting tight groups with little practice at 20 yards. Today, while at full draw, I heard an awful cracking sound. I didn't know weather to let off, or fire, so I just shot the arrow. After inspecting the bow, it has a crack in the top limb. Any advice on replacement - availability, and approximate cost? My dilema is I am paying the gentleman out that I bought the bow from. I have paid him $100 so far. Total price for bow, case, and dozen carbon arrows $295.00. Should I seek to repair, or get my money back and cut losses?![]()
