Hi all.
Another newbie question.
I was wondering if it's ok to keep my "Jaguar Take Down Recurve" strung or should I take of the string off when I'm not using it?
Thank you

I never leave my recurves strung - it only takes a couple minutes to put the string on/off.
Your right Spiker it does only takes a short time to remove and place the string back on. But what if you twist the string to fine tune your Brace Height, won't the string untwist when you remove it and would have to be re-twisted to get your brace height back to where you set it?
Thank you.
Dont take the string off the bow - just slide it down one limb that way the twist stays how it is.
Oh didn't even think of that. I'm slowly learning. Thank you so much Spiker.
If you would keep your bwo strung the limbs would bend in the direction of the string and you would loose power. Also the string will stretch on any recurve so you will have to retune it before you shoot everytime. Competition shooter keep their string beside the bow and measure the tiller/braceheight before they start to shoot and will add some turns to get the brace height back every time.
