    Default Firehawk Mag

I'm considering upgrading from my 2003 Prowler SE to the 2010 Firehawk. Has anyone shot this bow or know how good it performs. I have a short draw length at 26", will this affect its performance.

I'm going to guess that this is not a very popular model as no responce posted.

    Default My opinion

The Firehawk has the CAT Cams but the design of the riser limits the effectiveness and speed that you would expext from a hybrid duo cam system. it has an ATA of 30" and it is rated at 315-320fps conversely the Fircat TR2 uses the same cam system but has a different riser and ATA of 32 1/4" but rated at 335-345. At 26 in DL 70#'s with a Firehawk you can expect 270-275 fps. the Firecat would yield 295-300. Firehawk is $580 and the Firecat TR2 is $620. In my opinion the the benifits of the Firecat far outweigh the $40 difference in price it would be my choice over the Firehawk.

thx for the info, I'll look at the firecat also. I'm going to lose a little more speed as I only draw between 60 to 63 lbs, 65 max. My prowler goes up to 70 lbs but I can't draw it at that weight.

You will have enough speed regardless of which bow you buy. Yep its a problem for short draw archers, always loose speed in comparison to the standard 30" draw. Can only draw 60#? 60# is plenty.

    Default 60# is fine

The firecat at 60-63# is till gonna get you to 290-295 at 26" with an IBO arrow. 265-270 for the Firehawk. My first firecat maxed at 63 and at 27 1/2" i was getting 311.
