80# limbs
I have a 4 year old panther magnum that a limb split on. after getting the replacements from martin and installing them my 70# bow now has an 80# pull. Am sure that all strings , cables , bolts and pivots are installed correctly.
think maybe the limbs I have now are desighned for the parralel design like the bengal has now and is somehow stronger than my originals. anyone have any ideas ?

Compare codes
All Martin limbs have a number/letter combination (like 6L) on the side. Compare the codes on the old limbs to new limbs - if they are the same, then something is not right.
This assumes the new limbs are the same length as the old limbs - a 14" 6L limb is not the same as a 16" 6L limb. Current Magnum limbs are 14", but some of the older bows called "Magnum" had 16" limbs.
