    Default Bruiser Black Bear

Got my first black and last one I will ever take again. It was at 25 yards and I shot it in the ear. Dropped like a sack of potatoes. 480lb wall banger bear.......

Great experience just got a bear that is pretty much as big as you will find them here and will not hunt for them anymore.

I see, thought it might have turned you off hunting bears altogether. Could be a bigger one around though........

The bear was 6'1.5" from nose to tip of tail and scaled in at 497lbs...... Also the meat market in our valley said it was the biggest bear they had seen in the 15 years they had been here.

Don't stop now Walt, he's almost a contender, they do get bigger. The world record black bear came from Mendocino County, California in 1993. He scored a whopping 23 3/16" !
