2009 vs 2010 Alien X?

This is a bit much for a first post but i dont have a choice. I just received my "brand new in the box 2010" Alien X today from AT, i love it so far. Problem is though, i'm not so sure it is a 2010. Is there anyway to tell? The limbs say "115" in white, which i believe signifies they are barnesdale limbs and the serial number is 0921963. Are there any differences between the two years? I became suspicious when the bow showed up in a Hoyt box with a string loop already tied. I inquired about the brand new bow being partially set up. Turns out the guy bought a bunch of bows from a shop that was going out of business and he wasnt the one who set it up. No visible marks from a rest or sight though. I'm just trying to make sure i got what i actually paid for. Thanks alot.

First two numbers on the serial is the year. Looks like a 09 to me

that's what i figured. Any idea if there are differences between the 2 years of bows?

If you go to the search box and type barnsdale, you should see a thread started by ehunter on 12/20/2010 titled, limbs. I wish I knew how to just put the link here, but I copied the answer given by bfisher: What bow? I know Martin was using Barnesdale on the Aliens for a while. I assume this might have been during a period when they were developing their 2010 limbs as replacements for the 2009 limbs.

The only way I know to distinguish Martin limbs from Barnesdale is by reading the limb deflection. All the Martin limbs I've seen have a two digit deflection---3H, 5L, for example. The Barnesdale limbs on my Alien Z have a 3 digit number like 195 or 205.

The other way is that if they have the carbon finish then the edge of the limb, viewed from the side, has two gray/white lines running the length of the limb just under the first lamination, whereas Martin limbs have the same lines only they are red.

Hey fats, it's almost assuredly a 2009, but having the serial # I would call Rytera and they can tell you for sure.

I know one way to tell the difference on the Martin bows, but I don't know for sure if the Rytera line is the same. The limbs in 2009 were 1 7/8" wide at the axle end. For 2010 they are 1 1/2" wide.

Also - an '09 will have plastic spacers on each side of the cams.
An '10 has the sholdered bearings and no spacers.
The Barnsdale limbs are the same '09 or '10.

Spiker has this correct, the 09's will have black plastic cam spacers and the 10's will have the silver flanged bearings. just look between the cam and limb at the axle.

Thanks for the replies guys! It is a 55-70lb bow. I called Martin and they verified that it is a 2009 but essentially the same as a 2010. The guy said it could have been made late in the year but sold in 2010. Either way I paid for a 2010 and received an '09. My biggest concern would be resale value, two years from now a 2010 looks a lot better than a 2009.
