new bows

been looking at the 11 line of bows , and the improvements look exciting, all said and done has anyone purchased one yet , also since i buy most of my stuff from the dicks at dicks,will they be getting the 11 line this year >? it dose seem that they are always a year behind , might break down and get a new bow , seems i would have a good reason these new bows look awesome

I have only received 4 models so far, Onza3, FC400, FC360 and an Exile. All 4 of these models shoot great, the Firecat 360 for some reason is much more impressive than last years TR1. I would have easily choose the Pantera over the TR1 last year, but not this year.

The Onza3 is an exceptional bargin as it has most of the qualitys of the Rytera Nemesis at a much lower cost, good speed, quiet and very little vibration out of the box.

The firecat 400 is much improved over last years TR2. Gone is the hump at the back end of the draw cycle, the Nitro cams peak early and have a stiff but steady pull all the way to the valley. The bow has very little noise or vibration on the shot, again right out of the box.

The Exile, which I believe replaces the Cheetah is a very good buy with decent speed, Martins ultra smooth single cam draw cycle and is fairly quiet with little vibration out of the box. With the addition of limb and string dampners this should be an excellent hunting bow.

I should also mention that the finish on all the 2011 bows I have recieved so far has been very good, much nicer than last year, and the Hammerhead strings are very good.

The TRG and SOS both do what Martin intended. The TRG does seem to minimize the amount of torque placed on the riser at full draw, I think it would even be better if they would have incorporated some way to adjust it to minimize vane clearance and bring the cables closer to center at brace.

The SOS does seem to reduce noise and vibration better than a low mount unit and it does have some adjustment to it. The only negative I see with the SOS is if someone uses or wants to use a kisser.

Overall, I think these are a good step forward for them, they look a bit awkward at first glance but after awhile you don't notice them anymore than a standard roller/ slide or sts.

Is the Exile worth purchasing over a discounted 2010 Cheetah? Besides the TRG and Hammerhead strings are there any real differences?

The grip on the Exile IMO feels much better than the Cheetah, the difference in the strings between the two is night and day. I like the look of the Exile much more than the Cheetah also, so unless the discount was pretty extreme, I would take the Exile myself, but thats just my opinion.
