How often do you replace your strings?

what its not like i let them fray. I inspect them all the time. pulled the string off my grand kids bow at first sign of a problum.

Look like i will have to replace the recurve string i just got last summer. endloop serving is starting to seperate.. took 3 to get this one..dang it

Well, it's one of those things that requires time, which so far my Dad hasn't had much of. We need to tear the basement apart and redo it, and he's going to build a new string jig. Hopefully things will start falling into place in the near future.

Fraying is not necessarily a sign of wear. I've had sets of strings fuzz and last a long time. Worst case was a set of Dakotas. Looked like crap, fuzz, tiny knots, so after 15,000 shots I changed them

Hey Hutch, hows that remodel coming ? When are you going to have your new string jig set up?

I wish it was a lot faster. Time is not been on my side. With work being heavy, and cars needing repair. I have been out straight. I did finally get a list of all I need to build my string jig. Hopefully I will get that built. But thats life!
