What do you prefer for string material?

What do you prefer for your string material? Out of all the styles of material what are the ones you are using. Example BCY 8125, 452X, 450x, Trophy, etc etc.
I am currently seeking to see what I want to stock, so I need ideas. When I started it was 8125 but its changed now.

The last string I bought was 452X as well. Made a very good string. No stretch, no rotation, good durability.

452X here, I looked into the Brownell Astroflight as it was getting alot of very positive comments from other string builders, but then during the course of a couple pm's I also found out that the speed claims some were making were not quite on the up and up, and then one of Brownell's employees actually threw one of the larger string builders under the bus on another forum, so I will be sticking with 452X. Don't try to fix whats not broken. 452X is stable, and durable.

Have you tried trophy yet?

Hutch, I have looked at it and did consider getting some in, but I honestly can't justify the extra cost of it, especially when I have 28 spools of different colored 452X sitting here. People complain about 452X getting fuzzy, but if a person cleans and waxes their strings the way they should I've never seen it to be a problem. As for the Trophy being quieter and giving a softer shot, I've not seen that either. The 2011 Martins I have here all have Trophy strings and I've swapped the string on a FC400 for a 452X and never saw the least bit of difference in noise, speed or the way the bow felt at the shot.

At some point I will probably buy a roll or 2 to try it myself. I like my 8125 and 452x but I want to make sure I have available the best for customer. Since that is mostly what we do is build strings. And you are right Bcy is a very good no reason to change.

I use what I get in the mail from a string maker.

same ole same ole you already have my friend.. why because it works

would like to try others but thats not going to happen anytime soon..heck my string jig is two nails out on the railing... lol hahahaha. some day we will be like the big kids.

I never experienced string fuzz with my 452x even without waxing it.

The only area where it fuzzes from time to time is the are where the string touches my clothes while i am loading the string with the arrow. But hey, that string wear is caused due to my error...!
