It's good to test the carbon arrows from time to time (some say before each shot) - hold them at both ends and bend in different directions. If this shows any issues throw away the arrow or something like this in the pictures may happen ... or worse. Another reason for this may be if the arrow is quite underspined for the particular bow.

Flex testing arrows is the best way to make sure they are safe. So many accidents are from not testing. Not to say you aren't but some don't.

Just to add to what the other guys said about flex testing them, just be thankful that the back end of that arrow didn't robinhood your son's hand.

must say this is the first time ...never seen an arrow robin hood it's self.. Have seen plenty that had tips shoved back into shaft..
cant say it enough flex flex flex.. may be why this happend. shaft may have been damage![]()
