From reading articles and forums I've come to the conclusion that advertised IBO speeds of just a few years ago were greatly exaggerated, unethically attained or just plain fantasy. It seems that the tide is turning and more and more bow companies are posting accurate (or nearly accurate) IBO speeds these days.
I know some will say speed is overrated. That may be the case but it isn't my question. When I buy something, anything, I want to know it will perform as advertised. So with a bow, if it says it is 70 pounds and 350 IBO I want to know I'm buying what they say they are selling.
I'm not insinuating anything or saying Martins do or don't meet IBO. I'm interested in Martins and want to know if they do as advertised.
