Scott Mongoose, single caliper. Age, 8 or 9 years old. Used it for everything at one time. Wore out one strap. I also use the TRU Ball Tornado, but don't like the strap.

Using a Tru-Fire FB. Best release I've used so far. I like the buckle strap, and really like the fold back feature. Makes it nice climbing in and out of stands, or opening a day pack, etc. The buckle strap also gives a very nice repeat fit on the wrist. The release always feel the exact same every time I shoot.

does anyone hunt with a back tention release? i've got a touch of target panic , read where a back tention would help with that. so i'm going to give one a try. i ordered a scot longhorn hex, it has a safty so it doesn't go off on the draw i guess i will find out it will be here soon. if anyone has used one let me know what you think about it

Yes I do. I shot with the velcro strap for years. As we all know, once they get used a bit, they tend to let you know just about where you've been wearing it as far as tightness. The one thing that caught me right off the bat with the buckle release is, from day one, you know exactly where you had it set last time. Not having the release in the same spot each time is just another variable that can cause minor variances in accuracy and feel. I know exactly what strap hole to use if I'm shooting in warmer weather with light gloves or no gloves, and what hole to use for heavier gloves in cold weather. Just a bit of a confidence builder I think.
