I shot one and it was nice. It was a Martin only dealer so I had nothing else to directly compare it to. The Silencer seems to be the same bow and cheaper so that is probably how I will go if I go Martin. The dealer pretty much blew me off when I said I wanted the Silencer instead of the FC400 so I am probably going to blow him off as well.

    Welcome to the forum!
As to your questions, there are members on here that have shot the Firecat 400 and the Silencer, so they should be able to help.

Have not shot the Firecat, but I do have a Silencer. Very happy with this bow and it's basically the same as the firecat with a not so fancy riser. And the price is less

Has anyone tested the Silencer or FC 400 on a chrono? The speed on the website says 335-345, I suspect that it will be closer to the 335 end of things but would like to see what is really happening out there.

I own a Firecat 400, and have shot a Silencer. The only difference other than price is .2 pounds of weight. I actually have a 60# Silencer on order for a turkey bow. Thinking about another 70# for a back up deer bow. I'm getting 296 fps @ 28 inch draw and 68# with a 396 gr. arrow. I don't think you can go wrong with either the FC or the Silencer. The new thinner grip threw me off for a little while, after having an older FC, but I've found all I have to do is hold the riser a little bit farther out on my thumb, and the accuracy is very good.
