Change strings without press!

On my FC400, I can't back the limb screws out far enough to take the string off without having to rotate the cams by hand. I have backed them off until the entire barrellnut center is completely open, and still not enough slack to take the string or cable off. I've heard this about another FC400 as well. Wonder if we got some short bolts....

OK, you can get longer limb bolts. Try any good hardware store or Fastenall if you have one near you.

For you guys that don't have one, the Bowmaster is a pretty good portable press. Especially with the new style split-limb adaptors. It, too, is on the slow side, but this thing can almost be put in your hip pocket and used out in the field. In fact, that's where I do half my bow pressing; on my bows and othr peoples'. It's in my bow case at all times.

You bet Its a life saver...or should I say HUNT saver.. or even your weaked on the 3D range.. I keep mine In a mini gear bag like this

So do I, but I left mine home one time this last summer, and lost the rest of a hunt, let a water bar throw me off my mountain bike. After climbing 1000 ft, I turned back get get better wind into the headwaters of Parlin Creek. Where the bear I bumped into of the 2nd day of archery deer headed for when he caught my scent trail. Pushed down on the low side pedal whlie crossing the water bar, stoped the bike and I got off Top cam hit first on a stick, hard enough to un-string.



This was at home, instead of in my pack. Would have saved a hard climb, and I might have found the big Cinnamon brusier.

I'd move it up on the priority list, as I said, I worked hard to get into postition so I could use the FoxPro to call that bear up out off the headwaters, but had to ride back down the mountain all because I'd been messing with the Cougar the night before and left my bowmaster laying on the sofa. Well worth the cost.
