For you guys that need to find a dealer that stocks bows I have a suggestion. View the inside back cover of the 2011 catalog for the sales rep in your area. Give him a call and see if he can be of any help.

If you don't have a catalog then you can view one on-line at Martin's website.

For instance, Gartland Associates has almos the whole eastern part of the US. Looking along the side it lists the various reps working for Bill and their respective areas. Also, their contact info.

The dealer pretty much blew me off when I said I wanted the Silencer instead of the FC400 so I am probably going to blow him off as well.

Same here! My local dealer keeps pushing me toward the FC400, even though i think the silencer is just as good of a bow. I called yesterday to see if the local rep here in NY brought a silencer to the shop yesterday (couldnt make it to shop to meet rep) and the pro staffer there told me that he shot them both and the FC is a better bow, therefore they will NOT carry the silencer for me to test? Heck, they dont even have a FC for me to test, only one to hold, draw etc. But can't shoot, not yet anyways.

So, has anyone actually noticed a real difference in the bows besides weight?

Whats the difference between a Gold series vs the Pro series, besides cost as it relates to the Silencer & FC 400?

My dealer in Tacoma is different from the sounds of it. He looked at the Firecat and Silencer and said to himself. Why try selling the Pro bow (Firecat) for more money, when most people are going to want to save a few dollars. The Silencer is the same bow (less the fancy fangs or whatever you call them on the riser and .2 lbs) As for the Silencer. I am very happy. Awesome draw. Very smooth and quiet. Accuracy is amazing and it's fast! I'm getting a steady 290fps at 63#, 29" draw and 390gr arrows.

I agree. I sold the silencer to a customer and recommend the Silencer and Ridge Hunter over the Firecats to save the customer money.
