Have you ever seen one of these?
Coming home about a month ago, I saw a doe with her weird looking fawn crossing the road. I rushed and to get my camera only to come back to see them gone.
Today, I was heading for the dentist when I saw them again. Sooo, drove back home grab the camera and took these pictures.

Cool pics. Notice the short legs on the piebald, the color variation is genetic and they sometimes have other defects as well.

^^ The way it should be, never having to know if customer service is great or not! Too bad it isn't that way for all companies. It makes you wonder when eveyone knows about great customer service from a company doesn't it? ^^

I don't think it's legs are short. Looks more like the color blends so it looks that way. Also, it's a little chunky, thick through the chest, well fed. Several around my area had real, real late fawns and they were tiny, but stocky.
Still, good pics to study. Note the head, kind of boxie and snout short compared to momma.
Piebald or even all white deer will survive quite well. They are no different than all white or all black squirrels. We have one city that has nothing but all white fox squirrels. Bartonville, Illinois has quite a few all black Fox squirrels.

They look shorter to me, especially when compared to the other fawn(first post, last picture) with long, spindly legs; the piebald's body/legs looks more like a goat.
I didn't post it to argue with someone.
Anyway, for those interested in learning something: piebalds are known for having other defects as well, including a short lower jaw, sagging spine or a Roman nose.
