    Default wide axle question

I got my Mystic within spec thanks to a this site and a couple guys on AT but have a question about the wide axles I have. I only have the wide axle on the top not the bottom. I went to put the box the guy I bought the bow from sent it in and noticed that the other axle was in a baggie stuck to a flap in the box. Should I put it on the bottom or what is the prefered configuration. Its going to be my field/indoor bow so fatty arrows indoor would be the norm so I was thinking both wide axles for better clearance for my X7s.

the wider axle will move your cables out , yes giving you more clearance.. runnin one long one short keeps cables from touching..make bow a bit louder thou.. I would run both long to shoot the big fatties
It's all fun an games till you put that big boy on the ground.. now its time to get to work

When I was shooting the X-system on a Scepter I had the larger Axle on the bottom and then I put a shorter Axle on the top. This kept the cables from actually touching each other. You gained about 5 to 10ft/sec and I would guess a bit more consistency and longevity if the cables were not rubbing against each other. However if you are having vane or feather clearance issues then you may want to put the longer Axle back on.

The mis-matched Axles although not Spec is a very common setup for the X system.

Yeah but a lady dog to quiet down ! Once you seperate them, they'll hum, Now you've 4 full a2a length cables, If you hunt with an X rigged bow like I do I loose what ever speed I may have picked up to the cable silencers they require top and bottom, yep 8 , plus the string. I prefer a liberal application of some of more slippery waxes.

This is a purely target/field bow(crimson flame color) so the extra noise from the cables isnt a concern. Looks like Im taking it apart and putting both long axles on. Thanks guys.

Say good bye to your armguard, with wide axles you'll never get any where near the string.
