Problem with a cheetah

Ok, I bought a 2010 cheetah in Jan. and have only shot it maybe 50 times since.I took it out yesterday to shoot and after I went to wax my string and noticed that the serving on the part of the cable that goes around the module is separating and fraying some.Then I drew it back and could see that the cable does not line up in the channel with the module.Anybody have any ideas?I dont know much about bows but this does not seem right.Thanks in advance.

Cant post picture now.But I did notice a bit of side to side play in the cam,dont know if that is normal or not.

Its normal,ive had bows in the past with steep draw cycles do this its just the nature of the beast.Its even worse with cam lean.
Even with winners choice,vapor trail,strings and cables it didnt matter still did it.Really depends on the design of the bow.
Now my 2010 firecat has very small wear in that area but if you look down as you did at full draw my my control cable is almost straight and thats with stock strings and cables.Just designed different than your bow.

You might want to check the cam and modules over for a rough spot, or nick in the metal. Had one on my new FC, and it started eating serving after about 20 shots. A little light filing, and some really fine sandpaper, and all was good.

You will get a small amount of serving seperation at the module where the cable makes a sharp turn around it. As was already posted about the serving wear, check the module and cam track to make sure they are smooth. The cam play may be from a missing spacer ?

Looked for burr's and sharp edges,none.I guess if its normal I will just go with it.I do notice that the cable is riding on the right edge of the module at full draw.Not sure how to check cam lean.It looks to be straight.

Try measuring the axle to axle on both sides of the bow. See if your numbers match. If they are different you could have cam lean. If you can't post pictures right now, you can always post your measurements.

The quickest way to check and see any cam or idler wheel lean is to hold an arrow flat along the side of the wheel along side of the string. The arrow, acting as a straight edge, should run parallel with the string.

As for the cable not tracking straight with the module is quite normal as the cable is pulled to the side at an angle by the cable guard/slide/rollers. The shorter the bow the more severe this angle becomes so although I won't say it's normal it is quite common. It's just the way bows are designed.

Serving separation and some abrading is also common at the module. The separation is the product of poor string construction. Again, quite common with may factory strings. If the serving gets to fraying too much then it may be that cam lean is too severe or you just have a lousy module. In such case I would recommend returning the bow to your dealer for evaluation and possible warranty work. Don't let it get to the point of fraying so badly that you feel it's unsafe to shoot the bow.

dont feel too bad.... my buddys diamond has been popping threads in his upper limb bolt anchor, hes on his second bow now, and hes been shooting league with my cheetah. his scores with my cheetah are way better than he shot with his diamond!!! hahahah!!!! i poke so much fun!!! the angles do get pretty wild on the cable and string in the slider, but i havent had any real issues that didnt get resolve quickly by my dealer.
