Looking for new bow

Hello all

I'm a new guy to this forum but have been shooting Martins since the 70's. I'm looking at getting a new bow to replace my much loved Jaguar compound that I bought in 2001. After 10 years of shooting the same bow....I'm having some serious sticker shock whe looking at my options. I can't believe some of the prices on new bows. So with that said, it appears to me that Martin is still one heck of a bang for the buck. I've been considering a new Exile and have found a deal on one with the accessories for what I'd consider a very reasonable price. Would I see a big difference between my Jaguar and the Exile? What do you think of the package deal accessories (Mostly the capture rest and sight)? Also, how is draw length adjusted on the Exile? Any input would be greatly appreciated.......Oh and I can't believe how Martins are bashed on some other forums. I've never had anything but good experiences with Martin and their customer service.

The Exile is a fine shooting bow. Some of the benefits you'll see over your old bow would be less vibration, less noise and a bit more speed. The accessories on the package bows are more than adequate, but you'll probably want to upgrade them down the road at some point.
The draw length on the Acu-Trak cam is adjusted by use of modules, you should get a full set with the bow.

Oh and I can't believe how Martins are bashed on some other forums. I've never had anything but good experiences with Martin and their customer service.

I (and a lot of others on here) don't care for AT with its members that think that if the bow doesn't cost at least $700, it's junk. They just like to think that their bows are better than Martin. In reality, they don't know what they're missing.
I understand why you like your Jaguar, because I own one myself (2007), and even when I get a newer bow, I'm not going to part with it.

Gee............how'd ya know it was on AT I'll be keeping my Jaguar as well....it still shoots great but I just got the new bow fever this spring. I've got to do my part to stimulate the economy.

Probably because I was one of the Martin defenders in the recent thread "Why aren't Martins more Popular"(I'm Deer Predator over there). In the end, the opposition gave up.

I started reading that thread but only got 1/2 way through before I was distracted with something else. I guess I should go finish reading it. There sure were a lot of Martin bashers in there though. I personally think that any modern bow is like Japanese motorcycles........there are really no bad ones. It's a matter of personal preference and what price range you have in mind. None of my Martins have let me down over the years and the fit and finish were decent on all of them. I don't believe Martin would still be around if they made a bad product. A bit off topic but I also have one of their recurves and it is the best shooting bow of my entire collection.......and I have a substantial collection of traditional gear.

Yeah, you should go read the whole thing. In the end even a Hoyt guy was defending Martin.
