How much do you practice bow shooting from your tree stand?

I used to have a stand and climbing sticks set up for practice til they all got stolen. Now I just shoot from the roof for the last month before season starts. It definitely helps. I try to go the extra mile and set up my 3D deer in a brush line with just a small window exposing the vitals.

I keep in practise year round as i hunt hogs all the time.Most of my setups for deer and anything else comes in is within 20yds.............

This easter Im going to the inlaws. Was asked to bring my bow, any targets I have and my tree stand for some friendly competition. Sounds like fun and I get to try out my new climber

Put it up about 2 months in advance,shoot maybe once a week from it and it is just a couple shoots.

no stand for me.im to antzy.i cant sis in one place too long.i walk for my deer/elk

We have a practice stand out back. It is in a tough area to shoot and gives us a great challenge. Then we put one in the front yard for long range. Next month we will probably start shooting. We also use the blind in the side yard.

Never hunted from a stand, but if I did I'd set one up in the yard and practice from it for sure. It's a whole different kettle of fish shooting from above ground at different angles.

I have one set up year round in the back yard. With safety rope and harness. Really is amazing taking your first shots from stand b4 you warm up. I walk to a point in the yard and throw one of the cheap block targets like you get at GM or Dick's. Up the stand I go and take a few shots, sometimes in hunting cloths but not always. Very enlightening! I have 2 deer targets (3d) set up to move around for different shots also.
