    i shoot an 06 slayer also 65# pull 28" dl i shoot beman mfx 29" shafts 100gr tips 400's my arrows wiegh 423gr just recently switched out my 100 tips for 125 tips wow what a difference much tighter groups arrow now weighs 448 gr. my arrow hope this helps to the extra weight

    i meant to say my arrow responds better with the extra weight hope this helps sorry

    More weight at the tip of the arrow makes it react like it has a weaker spine. Could be that you've found the right combination there.

    Also, it raises the FOC percentage which is what helps pull the arrow to keep it on track.
