Default Gold Tip Inserts, What Size Threads?

I want to order some different brand (Saunders) and weight screw in field points but Saunders lists all these different threads and I don't know which ones to get. Any ideas?

^^ The way it should be, never having to know if customer service is great or not! Too bad it isn't that way for all companies. It makes you wonder when eveyone knows about great customer service from a company doesn't it? ^^

8-32 Seems to be the common answer to that after a little Google Research. I couple of posts on AT about that very subject and that is the answer that was given there.

    Hope that helps

Yeah - fieldpoints, broadheads etc are all basically 8-32's. Are you sure your not looking at the outside diameter? That usually comes in 5/16's 11/32's etc.

Did you mean 9/32? 8/32 would be reduced to 1/4 I would think. I'll google it too. I thought someone might shoot GT and know.

    Thanks

Thank you! I was wondering why there was no commonality with the threads? I just showed how wet behind the ears I am!

Now I will go to the GT website and see if they list the OD of my Velocity Hunters.

I have it figured out now thanks to spiker. When looking at the numbers it is the OD I am seeing, not the thread. I should have known but I didn't.

I think i will get some 19/64 sized points. I'm spending way too much time trying to find something just perfect. LOL

Pretty certain you'll need a 5/16" point if you want it to sit flush with the insert.
