What method of tuning do you prefer?

They all work well if done properly. That being said every bow is different and some don't paper tune that well. But they do when it comes to walk back tuning or another method.

That's my thought too. I usually use paper to get "close", I don't even try for a perfect bullet hole, just to get rid of large tears, specifically up or down for my rest/nock set. Then I usually do a walkback to secure my centershot.

This last time I tried a french tune instead of a walkback, and I gotta say that is was very easy! I tested with a walk back after and didn't have to change a thing.

Usually before hunting season, I'll broadhead tune, just to be sure that everything is flying the same. They're all just tools in a toolbox and each have their purpose and place.

My brother in law says its all a waste of time, but I feel that if I run all these "tests" and they pass... my confidence in myself and my equipment is at a high. Especially when that thirty point buck walks in front of my stand!

I voted "other" simply because I haven't found a method that works with my Martins or Ryteras. I used to be a staunch bare shaft tuner, but these things won't toss one with the results I like so I gave that up. Now I just eyeball the centershot and shot the bow. Adjust centershot till the arrow is flying the best I can get it and then sight it in.

I've read about walkback tuning so many times and maybe I'm justlucky with it but I've always been able to sight in at 20 yards and no shooting 60 yards right down the middle. If I move the rest then I have to resight 20 yards and 60 still flies to the same horizontal line so I'm not sold on walkback tuning yet either.

Now that I'm getting the draw weight up some I have some 500 spines with inserts so I may just try tossing some broadheads out to see what happens even though I have no intentions of hunting any more.

I'm just not getting too concerned about the tune of the bow. I have had and seen some bows that were grossly out of tune and still shot arrows with target/field points into scary tight groups even at long range. There just comes a time when I get tired of ripping my three hairs out over it when the bow is shooting just fine.
